PillRemind

Inspiration

Elderlies who do not want to rely on caregiver to remember to take their medication as their treasure their autonomy control of their lives.

What it does

PillRemind is a software that remind older adults through a phone call to consume their medication with the use of real time notification to their kids or the care giver on the consumption of their medicaiton.

How we built it

We made use of python, flask, html, NotificationAPI and Twilio API for this prototype.

Challenges we ran into

When attempting to make it into an actual app, there were some issues that we have faced when using android studio and Expo Go.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the development of our software.

What we learned

We have learned that is a substantial amount of elderlies that relies on someone such as caregiver or something for their consumption of their medication.

What's next for PillRemind

For future development, we will create a physical hardware to automatically dispense the medication so that it will reduce the errors that are prone to humans. For the app in the future, there will also be fall detection to monitor and ensure their safety.
