Inspiration
Our inspiration stemmed from our own family members who struggled with keeping track of their medication schedules. We soon realized that this challenge extended beyond our families, affecting millions of households worldwide. With this website, we aim to address this widespread issue.
What it does
Our website is designed to assist individuals facing various impediments, such as color blindness, visual impairments, and dementia, in managing their medication schedules.
How we built it
We employed a combination of manual coding and web development frameworks to create our website. After devising a plan and assigning tasks, each team member worked on individual pages, and we seamlessly integrated them to produce our final product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
For the majority of our team, this was the first hackathon we have done, we are all extremely proud of the fact that we were not only able to conceive of an initial idea, but also able to realize it and work through all challenges to come up with a functioning final product.
What we learned
We learned many things in this competition; the biggest thing being the importance of communication as a team, and how crucial it is in a situation like this. We also learned that delegating tasks was highly effective in making sure the entire team is on the same page working towards a common end goal. The technical things we learned were endless, some of us had to learn html from scratch. Especially being more on the beginners side, our team has truly learned a lot.
What's next for PillPalooza
We hope to see if this website could be actually put up and into use. There is a possibility that we could works with clinics and hospitals in the future, as the idea could have very large effects on the administration of medication and the entire pharmaceutical industry.
