Inspiration

We decided to build this project because a lot of pharmaceutical drugs are being wasted, just recently over 5 million vaccines were disposed and no one could take advantage of this huge medical aid.

What it does

It connects donors that are willing to take their drugs to hospitals that collect this drugs that were unused or about to expire, and makes them viable again by making them available again for more people to take advantage of them.

How we built it

We built it using Wix's Velo entirely for the front-end application, along with JavaScript to add functionality and connect the Velo application to our back-end. The backend API is made using Python and MongoDB hosted on Google Cloud using Compute Engine.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the backend with the frontend was a challenge since we were not familiar with Velo nor GCS, this was time wasting, but we managed to create an MVP with a lot of chances of further growth and development.
