Inspiration

This project was inspired by Major League Hacking's Global Hack Week for AI/ML in August 2024. Pieces for Developers has a coding challenge to build a chatbot using Pieces Copilot SDK.

What it does

This simple application allows users to ask questions to Pieces through a Stremlit powered UI written in Python.

How we built it

I built this project using PyCharm. I used Python, Pieces Copilot SDK, and Streamlit.

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to build the Streamlit UI was challenging. However after watching some tutorials on YouTube, I was able to implement a clean UI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the clean UI. Streamlit provides many features to make clean and aesthetic data applications.

What we learned

I learned a lot about building chatbots and using SDKs.

What's next for Pieces Chatbot

I want to expand Pieces Chatbot to use Pieces Copilot SDK conversation features to allow for more intelligent conversations between the user and the chatbot.
