As photography enthusiasts, we yearned for a way to rediscover forgotten treasures and curate our visual stories. Picture Perfect bloomed from this desire, aiming to transform phone photo chaos into a curated gallery of cherished moments.

What it does

Picture Perfect harnesses the power of AI to automatically sort and classify your phone photos. Our smart assistant analyzes each image, separating the keepers from the clutter based on clarity, focus, composition, and even facial recognition. It identifies blurry duplicates, accidental screenshots, and unwanted clutter, saving you the tedious manual weeding.

How we built it

We embarked on a journey of AI exploration, delving into libraries like PyTorch, PIL, and OpenCV. Building our image analysis engine involved training a custom model on extensive datasets, fine-tuning parameters, and experimenting with various metrics. The key breakthrough came with leveraging Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) to objectively evaluate image quality and differentiate good photos from bad.

Challenges we ran into
