Inspiration

In high school, I often told stories to the children in kindergarten. I found that the kids were more interested in images than plain text, which gave me inspiration. The appearance of AI made this inspiration possible.

What it does

To use this website, first display the HTML on a server. You can upload a text file (txt preferred). Next, select a piece of text and click Add Image. The text should turn into a blue link. After a while, you can see that a relevant image shows up when you hover your mouse over the link.

How we built it

I built the website with JavaScript. The external AI API I used is called DeepAI.

Challenges we ran into

Most problems I have are problems with the server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I could use the power of AI API to make something meaningful. Meanwhile, I have also learned a lot of things.

What we learned

I learned how to build and communicate with a server, send HTTP requests, and connect to APIs.

What's next for Picture Book Generator Website

This is only a demo of the app. I will further improve its functionalities and user interface and make it into a full-stack app.
