PictoMap

Inspiration

The "Travel" theme was a big inspiration for us. We mostly just threw ideas around between each other before Amelia mentioned some sort of map/travel based social media.

What it does

You put a pin on the map and upload a link to an image, and you can view other pins to see the images attached to them.

How we built it

Lots of suffering in Svelte and MongoDB.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first time trying new frameworks (Svelte, Vite) and TypeScript. We ran into a lot of trouble trying to integrate the backend into the frontend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made "An Thing" ????.

What we learned

We gained a lot of experience working with unfamiliar frameworks.

What's next for PictoMap

We have no idea if this is salvageable into an actual app that isn't scuffed, so this exists to pad our resumes for the time being
