Inspiration

Our goal is to create an engaging and visually attractive project. Through our research, we've identified the currently trending theme of a Wallpaper Downloader Website. We've thoroughly examined popular Wallpaper Downloader websites like Unsplash and Pexels. Based on this analysis, we've developed a blueprint outlining the core elements for the initial version of our site.

What it does

To begin, our website offers wallpapers across various categories, including Amoled, Nature, Birds, White, Landscapes, and more. Users have the option to download their chosen wallpapers to their devices. Additionally, we maintain user data for those who log into our site.

How we built it

We created this website using the fundamental elements of web development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. To store user data, we employed PHP and MySQL. Additionally, we enhanced the login page with attractive icons sourced from online icon packs.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't encounter many challenges, but the primary difficulty revolved around implementing the downloadable wallpaper functionality and JavaScript functionality. The quality of images is very high lead to slow down the user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It is a fully functional website with an elegant and interactive design. We are delighted that it performs exceptionally well in its initial release. To ensure its future success, we have maintained a straightforward and streamlined codebase

What we learned

We've learned how to handle servers for storing user data and wallpapers. We've also realized that a website should be easy to use and look clean while still being high-quality and functional.

What's next for PicQuery

Certainly, here's a brief explanation of each point: API for Text-to-Image: We want to build a feature that lets users type in text, and the website will generate wallpapers based on that text. For example, if you type "sunset over the ocean," the website will create wallpapers with that theme.

PicQuery Apps: After the website is up and running successfully, we plan to develop mobile apps for smartphones, as well as applications for Windows and Mac computers. This way, users can access PicQuery on various devices.

Resolution Options: We will improve the website by allowing users to download wallpapers in different resolutions. This means you can get the perfect wallpaper size for your specific device, whether it's a smartphone, computer, or another gadget.

User-Generated Wallpapers: In the future, we want to give users the ability to upload their own wallpapers. So, if you create a unique wallpaper, you can share it with the PicQuery community.
