Inspiration

I have a hard time picking where to eat when I go out. I wanna save my brain power.

What it does

This application picks a random restaurant depending on what the person asks for. The person has to provide what he/she feels like eating and where.

How I built it

I used React to build the front end and have the site backed by GitHub Pages. Wit.ai reads user input and passes relevant information onto Yelp.

Challenges I ran into

Working with Wit.ai. Working with AI was pretty new to me.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I can save my brain power now and let the bot pick where to eat for me :)

What I learned

Working with AI is actually not that bad, provided someone did all the hardcore math behind the scenes already

What's next for Pick4Me

Right now, it works well on desktop. I haven't really made it mobile friendly yet hehe...
