Inspiration

I always wanted to make a game, but I never had the full skillset to build something this complex on my own. With AI tools, I could finally try my ideas, experiment quickly, and let my imagination run without getting stopped by every technical limitation.

What it does

Pick Your Fate is meant to be a game you can easily pick up and put down in short bursts.

The original idea came from similar digging games. I always found such games really fun, and I think there are not enough of them.

How I built it

For the Reddit version, I added Daily Cave, where everyone can play the same cave each day and compete on the subreddit leaderboard. It is a smaller mode, but it fits Reddit well and gives players a reason to come back.

Challenges I ran into

The hardest part was finding the right tone and deciding what kind of game it should actually be. It started with a simple digging idea, but over time it became something more. It is still not perfect, and there are still things I want to improve, but I like how it is shaping up.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am really proud of the game flow and the animations. I like eye-candy that hooks you right from the start, and I wanted the game to feel satisfying even when you are just breaking blocks.

What's next for Pick Your Fate

My game is still in heavy development, it needs some optimisations and it needs more content. The part I hope people notice most are the bosses. I am really proud of them. They are fun, they add tension, and they make the game feel more dynamic.
