Inspiration

Me and all of my partners are broke with no money. We wanted to know where our money went and apps like rocketmoney only show subscriptions, so we had no way to actually track what we have bought.

What it does

Picchi allows users to scan physical receipts, adding them to a database using firebase. Then, we added an AI whose job it is to roleplay as an obnoxious finance bro, looking at your most recent purchases and telling you what you could have made if you invested your money instead.

How we built it

We used HTML, JavaScript, CSS and JSON files to for the skeleton code of our project and then used Gemini AI to create the finance bro personality

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a multitude of challenges over the twelve hours. Our largest challenge by far was the addition of the database and to update real time in the finances page. Another issue we faced was the creation of the AI agent as well as getting him to understand the yesterdays most profitable stock

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Considering all of use came in with little to no development knowledge, we are incredibly happy with what we managed to create. Not only did we manage to create a custom database for our program, but also managed to add a working OCR, custom AI agent, and live updates. Additionally, our goal was to make a working app overall.
