Piano Panic (Table 11B)

Inspiration

Undeniable, quenching love for music.

Acts as a magic wand; it gives anyone the power to play any song that they want.

We used the Unity game engine and programmed it in C#.

Deciding on what to make; Procedurally generating piano keys; 3D modeling

We've created a functional piano app that will empower anyone to learn and love music.

Stretch goals truly are a stretch...at least for 24 hours.

Integrate Leap Motion and/or develop a mobile app.

Primary Unity and C# developer, 2D graphic artist, and project manager.

I created the bulk of the main Piano key procedural generation script, and created much of the logic for the key audio.

Dan Singer
I learned Blender and created the 3D piano key models, learned C# and helped develop the script for animation and file conversion*, and learned Unity and its collaborate function.

* File conversion for high data CSV to basic musical note values. Not fully implemented.

Aaron Cote
Came up with the idea to have a surprise message that is desplayed when a secret code is entered. Helped to come up with songs and write them into .csv files. Worked on some of the UI. Assisted in project management.
