Introduction

Extend women's reproductive health and rights and facilitate early self-diagnosis of breast diseases for a better prognosis.

Current Issues

There is numerous period tracker on the market. However, the current period tracker applications are lack accuracy and not user-friendly. They are accurate for women with regular cycles, but as for women with irregular cycles, the apps would not be very helpful. Also, they demand users to record every period date and symptoms (a maximum of 40 types) on mobile phones to calculate the estimated due date.

What it does

Utilize bra with inserted sensor to sense the change of temperature and swelling of the breast for customized physiological monitoring. It would accumulate data and use machine learning to accurately and reliably predict the physiological cycle. The app connects with the bra provide period forecasting notification, and breast cancer alerts timely to women consumers. This would help women to improve their understanding of their bodies more efficiently.

How we built it

We build a sports bra prototype with double layers in the front to insert the Arduino sensor. We get the sensor work detecting body temperature.

Challenges we ran into

How to exclude the interference of unrelated body temperature change.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is our first time using the Arduino sensor and we managed to make it work.

What we learned

Critical and logical thinking.

What's next for physiological monitoring bra

Cooperate with computer engineering resources and make it practical.
