Inspiration
Pixel-art gamedev background which pushed us to choose this topic specifically,
since we usually make our own physics code and so on
unlike modern engines such as UE5,
which has a built-in physics engine.
Also, the language that is used by the game engine "GameMaker 2.0", which is called GML,
is very similar to JavaScript, so that’s another reason why we chose this topic.
What it does
- Interact with objects using your mouse and drag them, throw them.
- Play with gravity and elasticity settings to see how the physics respond.
- Create as many objects as you can and try to push the engine to its limits.
- Explore how the hover effects behave as you interact with different elements.
How we built it
it took us a week to make this website come true due to the challenges we faced.
We started with a prototype based on no design. just a box
then we kept updating it and making designs for the UI and so on.
Challenges we ran into
- Using new libraries like Matter.js
- DOM + object matching in real time
- Creating the glitch animation
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Futuristic design
- Interactive experience
- Turning a design into something real (design was provided with the source code)
What we learned
- New libraries
- DOM manipulation
- Complex animation systems
What's next for PROJECT
If we had more time, we would have added:
- Water physics
- Sound effects
Built With
- css
- font-awesome
- html5
- javascript
- matter.js
- tailwind
