Inspiration
My own brother inspired the idea for this agentforce build. He is one of many care providers that struggles with the administrative burden of his everyday tasks. Having an AI agent to support his efforts allows him to provide genuine care to patients in need everyday.
What it does
The agent sorts patients scheduled for each day's rounds by a critical health score so providers can easily identify the top priority patients they need to see that day. The agent also automatically creates work orders with simple verbal or text prompts so the provider can streamline post-care delivery as well!
How we built it
There are a handful of custom fields added to the Contact object in the data model to assist with sorting patients. I used an Agentforce agent with a custom topic, action, and supporting flow.
Challenges we ran into
Overlapping utterances between out-of-the-box topics and actions and my custom topic and action. Time constraints kept me from developing a more aesthetically pleasing workflow.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The product works! We're using simple formulas that anyone else could implement to their existing data model to help the AI agent truly streamline a provider's workflow both pre-care and post-care.
What we learned
I learned that custom topics and actions should be strictly created for new behavior for the AI Agent, any overlapping behavior, even if its not obvious at first, may cause performances issues down the line.
What's next for Physician's Assistant Assistant
Integrate the Agentforce agent to an EHR for end-to-end patient care! Enhance the visual look and feel of the agent's output. Allow for better note taking and exporting results to clipboards with each day's information.
