Inspiration

We think photobombs are funny.

What it does

Users can sign up and post funny photobombs with captions.. You can then view a feed of everyone's photobombs

How I built it

We used Parse as our database to integrate users with passwords and emails. The pictures and captions are also saved on the database.

Challenges I ran into

We were unsure what database to use and spent most of our time on this. Then, by the time we had Parse integrated we needed more time. (We initially were using Python with a Flask backend, then switched to Parse because of the ease of use and easily integratabtle capabilities.)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of our blue theme color, as well as the Javascript code to display the pictures from the database.

What I learned

We learned that it is really easy to get stuck on something simple, which put us back in our work. We would have been able to accomplish much more if we had used Parse earlier.

What's next for Photobomb

Photobomb will next go mobile through iOS-- another reason why Parse was a good choice (they have a Swift API-- something we would have worked on today if we had time). But before this, it will integrate a like button and sharing to other platforms (hmmmm.....Tumblr?).
