Inspiration
We wanted to build something cool and neat!
What it does
It doesn't work, but its supposed to be the equivalent of Geo-Guessr, but instead of using 360 photos powered by Google Maps, it would be based on
How we built it
Using the last working code we made in Android studio to show basic Android app functions.
Challenges we ran into
- Unclear deadlines/expectations as to what we were going to do/progress towards
- Realizing that Snapkit was not the augmented reality mobile solution we were looking for
- Understanding that Unity engine requires the skill of full on game development, and 4 hours of our time.
- Android studio is much harder than it seems. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Attempted to use Snapkit for mix reality mobile applications
- Successfully implemented 3D multi-surface detection and simple augmented reality object placement using scenes in Unity Engine
- Successfully got Android studio to demo a working navigation pane, text boxes, and buttons in our activities. ## What we learned
- 24 hours is not much time :/ ## What's next for Photo Guesser Wherever our coding abilities take us.
Built With
- android-studio
- ar-core
- unity
