Inspiration
According to multiple studies participating in post-therapy questionnaires can increase patient's chances of survival and their overall quality of life... However, only 40% of patients complete them. Not many people know about the benefits that such patient-doctor contact provides. There are clinical trials proving that such questionnaires can increase patients' lives by even 7 months compared with people who were not filling out the surveys.
What it does
The app allows the patient to share their experience with their doctor using a voice assistant or input their answers manually. It uses gamification elements to make the process more engaging and patient-centric. It explains the long-term benefits to patients and shows them that their input is crucial to the cancer survivors community.
How we built it
Prototype built using Figma, demo mockup set up using Streamlit (Python package). The project's website was set up using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Challenges we ran into
As in every hackathon, time was our enemy - it's currently 7:30 am when I am typing it...
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of agreeing on a coherent vision for the project. We felt inspired by Roche's presentation during the first day and decided we want to contribute our time and energy to help patients.
What we learned
We learned that being a good team player is just as important as a stable internet connection and there is no limit to how much coffee you can drink in Technopark.
