About the project
PhishVision AI is an AI-powered cybersecurity assistant that helps small businesses identify phishing websites before employees become victims of online fraud. The project combines machine learning, deep learning, URL intelligence, and AI-powered explanations to analyze suspicious websites and provide a clear phishing risk assessment.
I built this project after noticing that many phishing attacks target small businesses that do not have dedicated cybersecurity teams. Existing security tools are often expensive or difficult for non-technical users to understand. PhishVision AI focuses on providing fast and understandable security decisions that anyone can use.
The platform analyzes website URLs and screenshots, predicts whether a website is phishing or legitimate, generates a phishing risk score, and explains the reasoning behind the decision using Gemini AI. It also provides a dashboard for tracking detected threats and security activity.
The biggest challenge was combining multiple AI models into a single web application and making the results easy for non-technical users to understand. Deploying the application online and optimizing the prediction pipeline for real-time use were also important parts of the project.
This project is being developed as a real business for small businesses and educational organizations that need affordable phishing protection and AI-driven cybersecurity assistance.
