Inspiration

With the rising popularity of the Internet, it is likely that more people will fall victim to a scam.

What it does

Phishing Trainer will train the user with sample emails to distinguish between scams and genuine messages.

How we built it

This program was built using node.js and html for the emails.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult trying to learn node.js for the first time under the time restriction of the Hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It's satisfying to see code that you've worked so hard on function properly.

What we learned

This project provided a greater understanding of how scams work and what details expose the validity of the email.

What's next for Phishing Trainer

There could be more emails to give the user more training.
