Completed the two-part Azure Cosmos DB Developer Cloud Skills Challenge to take part in Phase 1 of the hackathon!

How we built it

  1. Azure Overview: Started with an overview of Azure services.
  2. Cosmos DB Overview: Explored Cosmos DB and its use cases.
  3. Azure OpenAI: Integrated Azure OpenAI capabilities.
  4. AI Concepts: Reviewed essential AI concepts.
  5. OpenAI Models: Experimented with different OpenAI models.
  6. Provisioning Resources: Set up necessary Azure resources.
  7. First Cosmos DB Project: Created the initial Cosmos DB project.
  8. Data Loading: Loaded data into Cosmos DB.
  9. Vector Search: Implemented vector search functionality.
  10. LangChain: Managed and chained language models with LangChain.
  11. Backend API: Developed the backend API for database and model interaction.
  12. User Interface: Built the application's user interface.
  13. Conclusion: Summarized findings and planned future steps.

Challenges we ran into

Frequently, I'd run into the error that my connection API didn't exist, even when it did. Thankfully, these challenges were overcome!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully integrated multiple Azure services and overcame technical challenges.

What we learned

Learnt experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure OpenAI, and integrating various Azure services and learned how to effectively integrate AI models into a cloud-based environment using Azure resources.
