We found the idea of using flex sensors intriguing so we decided to prototype a a glove that would allow users to sign the alphabet using their fingers. To overcome engineering obstacles, we devised our own signing protocol for the English alphabet.
We took the output from the flex sensors and fed it into the Arduino analog inputs, which would convert the analog values into digital output through serial link to the Raspberry Pi. The RPi would then do the necessary computation to convert the signals into the proper character display.
