Gender-based violence is a pervasive issue that affects millions of individuals worldwide, often leaving victims without adequate support or protection. Our inspiration stems from the urgent need to address this critical issue in a more effective and innovative manner. We are motivated by the stories of survivors, the ongoing struggle for gender equality, and the belief that technology can play a pivotal role in creating safer communities. Our goal is to empower individuals with the tools they need to protect themselves, seek help, and ultimately transform their lives.
We built an application that does: help users to have a space where they can share their stories with each other because in most cases GBV survivors, find themselves feeling isolated and alone, the "ANOMEYOUS COMUNITITY CHAT" helps with having a sisterhood where you can share with others without disclosing your identity. And other features are the "Lesedi" chat buddy which is also a virtual assistant helping with being a friend to you and also helping you get information of legal matters and how to get your life together by recommending free courses to your linking and we also have others features as well.
