Inspiration

We wanted to create a way for pet owners to understand their pets better using AI. Many people love their pets deeply but struggle with breed-specific care, early health awareness, and bonding tips. PetVerse was inspired by the idea of giving pet parents a simple tool that combines knowledge, analysis, and fun into one place.

What it does

PetVerse lets users upload a pet photo and instantly get:

Pet Care Assistant: AI-generated, breed- and species-aware guidance about nutrition, exercise, health schedules, grooming, training, lifestyle, and bonding.

Pet Score Analysis: A detailed visual analysis of the pet’s health, posture, cuteness, style, and mood, along with creative insights like “Insta Factor” and “Pet Style Persona.”

This makes caring for pets both practical and engaging, while also strengthening the emotional connection between humans and their pets.

How we built it

We built PetVerse with Kotlin Multiplatform + Compose Multiplatform, ensuring it works seamlessly on Android and iOS. For payments, we have integrated RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and we provide a 3-day free trial for new users

Challenges we ran into

Consistent output: Ensuring the AI always returns results in a strict format was challenging but critical for smooth app experience.

Cross-platform design: Making the UI equally polished on both iOS and Android with Compose Multiplatform required design iterations.

App store review hurdles: We faced some rejections during the app store review process, which required us to refine compliance.

What's next for PetVerse

We’re planning to expand PetVerse with:

Reminders & Notifications: Automated reminders for vaccinations, deworming, and grooming.

Pet Matching Tool: Helping future pet parents choose the right dog breed (or pet type) based on their lifestyle.

Community Features: Share analyses, fun facts, and photos within a safe pet-loving community.
