Inspiration
PetDigiTwin App will provide a one-stop-solution for your pet. It will daily monitor the health of your pet,keep track of the food and nutrition and suggest the food items and quantity, then it will also help to provide natural ways to recover the pet in case of any trouble and proactively suggest any checkup. It will also help to find similar volunteers willing to be pet minder in case of vacation planning,
What it does
How we built it
We utilized a modern serverless architecture on Google Cloud Platform. The core application is hosted on Cloud Run for scalable performance, while Cloud Build handles our CI/CD pipeline. We integrated GitHub triggers to automate deployments and used a containerized microservices approach to ensure the health monitoring and community features remain modular and reliable.
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One significant hurdle was automating the deployment pipeline to trigger specifically on versioned release tags (like MVP5.0). We also faced challenges in standardizing the "digital twin" data model to accommodate the varying nutritional and health needs across different species and breeds.
What we learned
We gained deep insights into the power of serverless infrastructure and the importance of strict logging and service account security in cloud environments. We also learned that pet owners prioritize community trust just as much as data-driven health metrics.
What's next for PetDigiTwin
The next phase focuses on integrating IoT wearable data (like smart collars) for real-time health alerts. We also plan to expand the volunteer network into a verified "Pet-Minder" certification program to enhance safety and trust within the community.
