Inspiration
The inspiration for PetBook came from a teammate’s family’s early morning routines. They each wake up at different times and have different schedules. She wanted a tool to make communication easier amidst busy schedules—so, we made it.
What it does
PetBook allows easy communication between caretakers and a means to independently and efficiently organize your pet’s schedule. You will be able to add your friends, family, or any sitters/walkers you hire to your pet’s account.
How we built it
We built it using Figma and Adobe XD.
Challenges we ran into
Communication between different time zones and busy schedules was hard and running into “design block.”
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our team’s determination and mindset that drove us to finish this project within 36 hours.
What we learned
As aspiring UX designers, we are always open to new experiences—it is how we grow and expand our perspectives!
What's next for PetBook
We hope to expand on our project by social media. Users will be able to add others and post images beyond their household. We also hope to be able to add veterinarians to our app; veterinarians and their assistants will be able to view patients’ schedules and make any changes they deem are necessary. This way, users will be able to receive professional help and advice.
