Inspiration

We haven’t seen AR game experiences around pets. So we decided to develop a lens that is immersive (turns pets to game character) and at the same time it should encourage users to play with pets in the real world (to increase the quality of screen time)

What it does

In this lens treasures and gifts will be scattered in the user's environment. Pets can collect treasure, unlocks gifts. Gift has some accessories for pets like sun glasses food collar etc...

How we built it

We built this game lens with World and Pet tracking capability of SnapAR. Whenever the pet collects a gift it unlocks those elements and the pet can wear those accessories and take a snap with users

Challenges we ran into

Here we created this game with the collectibles, in SnapAR we only have 2D possibility with Pet interaction, but we made the collision logic in real world and made the pet interactable with that collectibles

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We broke the limitation that only 2D accessories applicable for pets. We made an extremely intense and interactive game where the pets turns to game character.

What we learned

We learned Real time interaction between 2D and 3D capabilities

What's next for Pet Treasure Hunt Game

We planned to develop interactive real time collectibles with custom landmarks.
