We did none of that.

We asked a different question:

What if you had a rock? And what if that rock needed emotional support and daily walks?

Thus was born the Pet Rock Walk Guide — a heartfelt homage to uselessness, nostalgia, and the over-engineering of things that never needed engineering in the first place. It’s a parody, a protest, and possibly… a path to inner peace.

The site serves as a comprehensive care guide for pet rocks — in-depth, absurd, and unintentionally therapeutic.

It features:

  • 🔄 A daily routine planner for your sedentary companion
  • 💭 Mental wellness checklists (for the rock, obviously)
  • 📦 Tips on transportation, bedtime rituals, and walk etiquette
  • 🚨 Emergency rock recovery guide (in case it, you know, rolls away)

While it's 100% useless in practice, it delivers a strange amount of comfort, clarity, and comic relief.

🛠 How we built it

  • Created entirely using Bolt.new AI
  • Built in one prompt, with no edits
  • Styled with basic HTML/CSS and a few images of rocks that deserved better

The challenge was to prompt AI so well that the entire page looked coherent, stupid, and delightful — all at once.

😅 Challenges we ran into

  • Preventing the AI from making it “too useful”
  • Writing believable care tips for a literal stone
  • Not accidentally turning it into a mental health support site (because people really related to the rock 😭)

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We made people genuinely consider adopting a rock
  • Got actual visitors who read through it — and some bookmarked it
  • Took absurdity and turned it into an oddly wholesome experience
  • Created a full website in a single AI prompt without breaking the illusion
