Inspiration

With the rapid increase in pet ownership, many animal owners struggle to manage their pet’s health, feeding schedules, medical records, and daily activity. Existing solutions are fragmented and difficult to use. This inspired us to build an Animal Health Tracker that provides a unified, secure, and intelligent digital platform for pet care.

What it does

Animal Health Tracker is a smart digital platform that helps pet owners monitor their animal’s health, activity, feeding routines, and medical history in one place. The app provides reminders, health insights, and analytics to ensure better care and early detection of potential health issues.

How we built it

The project was designed as a modern health-tracking platform with a strong focus on usability and security. We designed structured pet profiles, automated care reminders, health dashboards, and analytics modules. The system architecture supports data integration from wearables and external veterinary services while ensuring secure data handling.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was designing a scalable system that can integrate health data, activity tracking, and user experience without overwhelming the user. Ensuring data privacy, security, and reliability while handling sensitive health information was also a major consideration.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to design a user-centric health management platform, structure health data effectively, and apply security-first thinking to real-world applications. We also gained experience in planning scalable architectures and translating real-life problems into digital solutions.

What's next

In the future, the Animal Health Tracker can include real-time wearable integration, AI-based health predictions, veterinary report exports, and personalized care recommendations based on breed, age, and activity patterns.
