How we built it

Lots of coding and debugging.

Challenges we ran into

Pet smooth movement is still a challenge I'm working on. Some functionality is still glitchy (maybe race conditions). For now sometimes I need to do a World Restart to get some things to work properly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What I hope to be a fun and interactive role-playing game where people can socialize and enjoy themselves. Proud of some some of the functional tools which looks awesome like the NPC dialog hud; rumor dialog manager, and the various pet interactions (more to come)

What we learned

Solo coding a whole world is a lot of work.

What's next for Pet Life

Getting the Cat, Dog, and other pets which 2P has would be great. hint hint. There is a roadmap with SO many features I did not have time for the comp. More pet interactions like play fetch, go for a walk, bathe, and when some new buildings are done, they will have even more Hoping the community votes on what they want to see more of (voting mechanic in world) and adapt to what the community chooses I also have 3 worlds which I have in mind where people would be able to take their pets and have different type of games. Those are secret for now; but the NPC "gossip guy" will give some hits about it. Special events; and hopefully be able to have more pets, or access to create my own somehow.

Some of the design is not 100% up to what I was hoping, but good enough for "early beta". Some elements will be re-designed.
