🚀 Inspiration

The internet has become a battlefield of opinions, but instead of meaningful debate, we get echo chambers, misinformation, and outrage-driven discourse. Social media feeds us only what we already believe, reinforcing biases and killing critical thinking.

I built Perspective Matters to fix this broken system.. A place where two AI agents debate both sides of a topic, forcing users to engage with opposing viewpoints, think deeper, and break free from their ideological bubbles.

⚡ What It Does

Perspective Matters is an AI-powered debate platform that generates structured, intelligent arguments on any topic a user submits.

Here’s how it works:

Users enter a debate topic (e.g., "Should AI be regulated?")
AI filters the topic to ensure it’s meaningful and debate worthy
Two AI agents go head to head, one arguing for and the other against the topic .
Users watch the audible debate unfold, expanding their understanding and challenging their own biases

🛠️ How I Built It

Perspective Matters is a fusion of cutting-edge AI and high-performance mobile development.

Frontend: Built using Flutter for a seamless, cross-platform experience
AI Engine: Powered by Google Gemini AI, trained to generate structured, dynamic arguments
Smart Topic Filtering: AI-powered screening system that ensures high-quality, relevant debates
Scalability: Modular AI architecture allows continuous updates and expansion

Every line of code was written with one goal: creating the ultimate AI debate platform that actually makes people think.

⚔️ Challenges I Ran Into

Balancing AI Arguments – Training AI to argue convincingly for both sides without bias was a serious challenge. I had to refine argument generation to ensure balanced, structured debates.

Filtering Out Bad Topics – I needed a smart filtering system to eliminate low-quality, irrelevant, or harmful debate topics.

Time Pressure – Building a fully functional AI debate engine in such a short span alone that too as a beginner was no small feat, but I made it happen and I am so proud of it :)

🏆 Accomplishments That I am Proud Of

I am proud that I was able to build something That Actually Makes People Think : An app that changes how people engage with ideas.
I learned to fine tune Large Language Models with the least bias possible

📚 What I have Learned

AI is a powerful tool for intellectual growth : When used correctly, it can enhance human thinking rather than replace it.

Structured debate is a lost art : People don’t just need opposing viewpoints; they need well-structured arguments to truly understand different perspectives.
