Personalized Health Portal

Inspiration

We saw a void in market as we always see workout and diet plans, but never a collective plan that accounts for all elements such as workout and diet in unison needed to reach your targeted weight. As you can guess, the target audience for this portal is our older audience since it is targeted towards losing weight. We didn't just want to leave it at that, so we added a symptom identifier so you truly didn't have to go anyway to get information, our portal provides every physical health concern and plan you will need. Enter MyHealthPortal.

What it does

In this customized plan we take in all your information and personalize it in such a way it is only you that can fit this plan. We used doctor-recommended information and researched how your weight & height and your goal work with to figure out how many calories, water, etc. you need to be having to reach your target weight. There is no other plan that has the exact same plan. Extremely customized. We also added a workout tracker to help you keep track since we already have a diet and water tracker. We added a instant health portal to cater to your instant and immediate desires such as finding a doctor office based on your longitude and latitude. We use your precise location to provide specialized and accurate feedback that makes our portal even more personalized. Finally, we added a symptom tracker for all your physical medical needs using AI so you truly don't have to go anywhere else for your physical health. Our portal has it all.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled merging the code and making it super personalized to the user so those were our biggest issues. We had some other smaller issues such as debugging 200 lines of code to find a syntax error, but ultimately through adversity it all came together in such a short period of time (with staying up late)!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of making a functioning website that does so much. When we set out to climb this mountain, we knew it would be challenging, but I am extremely proud of what we were able to achieve and it was worth the long nights and early mornings and frustration :)

What we learned

We learnt A LOT. We learned how to use various applications and databases to make our website (localStorage & tailwind) and AI to produce our symptom identifier. Overall, we learnt a lot in all aspects from code to time management and making a product that has practical use.
