Inspiration

Making medicine more accessible across the globe has always been important for the wellness of underprivileged or remote communities. Automating a system that becomes personalized to users’ medical history can allow for more accurate analysis of any symptoms that the user experiences.

What it does

Our AI will take into account a user’s medical history, including medicines, past surgeries, chronic illnesses, and allergies in order to provide more accurate analysis of their symptoms. The app can also be used to remind user’s when to take their meds. Also the app keeps a database of user characteristics and symptoms, which could potentially be used to detect patterns like (people who take X medicine and have Y disease tend to experience Z symptoms.)

How we built it

Built with react native and uses OpenAI API.

Challenges we ran into

Depencies were hard to manage as well as the github repository due to the various different libaries and implemetations taking place.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The chatbot is able to analyze pictures that users send and provide potential causes of the symptoms.

What we learned

Using Expo Go to host a project during a hackathon can be very time consuming due to setting up dependencies and environments on multiple computers.

What's next for Untitled

Improve the database of the application to be able to use data mining algorithms to determine and find patters in the symptoms of the patients, the secondary effects of medications and possible outbreak of new diseases among the registered patients.
