Inspiration

I was inspired by my own story. I was a very shy person. I had a very good vocabulary but I was hesitant to speak in front of an audience because of my lack of confidence. I started attending toastmasters session and it truly changed me. I became very confident and I became a good speaker. Many kids are have issues because of the pandemic as they are cooped up inside their homes, affecting their social skills. This app ingyeong( korean for personality) is a perfect solution.

What it does

Ingyeong is an app helps the user to connect with people of similar interest living nearby. There are many teenagers with hidden talents and skills. Ingyeong helps them to connect with others and they can bring out each others best skills. They can form a group and have regular hangouts and thus helps in boosting their confidence and social skills. Ingyeong helps people with mental issues connect with a certified highly qualified counselor. Teenagers may have a fear of approaching psychologists and counselors in fear of being mocked by their peers. This can be successfully avoided as the sessions would be online and they can openly share their problems and their fears. Mental health is very important and its negligence has serious consequences. Many crimes in the US like school shooting happens due to lack of attention given to student's mental health. The app thus helps bring out the best in a person and tackles mental health problems thus shaping up an individual's personality.

How we built it

I built it using android studio.

Challenges we ran into

I am a beginner in coding. I plan to develop this app once I am completely familiar with it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very proud of coming up with this idea. I am learning kotlin and html through various tutorials for this hackathon

What we learned

What's next for Ingyeong

Ingyeong would later on form a company that will form charity organisations for people who are unable to afford proper health care for their kids.
