Personal Web Application using Hugo framework, source code stored in GitHub, hosted on Azure Static Web App
🌟 Inspiration:
To learn and stay up to date with new technologies. There is no reason to remain behind when you have multiple ai resources. I used GitHub Copilot with ChatGPT 4o and Claude.
🚀 What it does:
Helps others to learn from my journey and provides a platform to share insights. During the demo video I've added a QR code generator.
🛠️ How we built it:
A web application buit with Visual Studio Code and GitHub Copilot extension, hosted on Azure utilizing GitHub CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment.
⚡ Challenges we ran into:
- Finding the right framework and configuring it to run smoothly in Azure.
- Solving integration issues, including working with Oryx for building and deploying the app.
🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Successfully created the web application using GitHub Actions for automated updates and deployment.
📚 What I've learned:
- Using Visual Studio Code with Git Copilot to edit and create the application locally using Hugo framework.
- Leveraging GitHub for version control and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploying the application on Azure Static Web Apps to host the files and manage the app.
🔮 What's next for the Personal app hosted in Azure Static Web App:
Continue to create and update the web app with new content to help me and others stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
