Inspiration
Many procrastinators have difficulty managing their time, thus the need to reflect upon how one's day is spent.
What it does
Users are allowed to add hours to six different tasks and see how a normal day is spent broken up into separate parts.
How I built it
html, css, javascript, figma
Challenges I ran into
One challenge was figuring out how different components between different files and languages interacted with one another. Creating certain functions and how each interact with the user also required more time ensure the intended functions worked properly. Another challenge was determining the layout and spacing of components on the pages.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were able to incorporate many of the proposed ideas within the group. Our communication and collaboration while building the project went smoothly as well. Many of the working components in the updates between the hour incrementor and changing hour bars was also a great accomplishment.
What I learned
Planning is essential. Design requires extra information for grid dimensions and development needs to keep track of what needs to be built.
What's next for Personal Scheduler
A few minor details need to be fixed in design with grid layouts and usability with users. The initial project idea was also more complex, cohesive, and helpful to individuals with extra evaluation pages; further developing into the project would be the next step.
