The purpose of the app will help users to virtually organize their receipts and identify their spending habits. The app will digitize receipts. Using pre-established and configurable budget categories, the user will categorize that transaction and then sub-categorize it according to the expenses found on the IRS Tax Forms Schedules A and C. Graphs will be available on the app to track spending patterns.
The data will be stored and secured on the Internet allowing the users to review in depth their spending habits at a time convenient to them. The data will also be useful during tax time especially for online individual tax filers because the totals from the sub-categories can be used on Schedules A and C.
An added benefit with this app also reduces the amount of paperwork the user may have to physically maintain onsite because the receipts are digitized and stored online.
