Inspiration

The transition from college to a professional career can be overwhelming. Students often rely on scattered resources and generic interview tips without knowing their strengths or skill gaps.

We built PersonaHire to make placement preparation more structured, personalized, and practical, helping students turn their knowledge into job-ready skills.

What it does

PersonaHire brings essential placement preparation tools into one platform.

Personalized Assessments: Practice aptitude, reasoning, and technical questions.
Coding Practice: Solve programming challenges and strengthen problem-solving skills.
Mock Interviews: Practice HR, behavioral, and technical interviews.
Progress Tracking: Review completed activities and assessment results.
Actionable Feedback: Identify improvement areas and choose what to practice next.
Company-Specific Preparation: Our goal is to help students prepare for target companies using relevant skills, question patterns, and role requirements.

How we built it

PersonaHire is a full-stack web application built using Python, Flask, SQLite, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Its modular structure separates authentication, assessments, coding practice, interviews, and progress tracking.

We focused on connecting the frontend, backend, and database to create a consistent experience where students can access preparation activities and review their progress.

Challenges we ran into

Bringing multiple placement preparation features into one application presented challenges in database management, assessment scoring, and connecting different modules reliably.

We also learned the importance of accurate calculations, secure handling of student data, and ensuring that results reflect completed activities rather than unfinished attempts.

What we learned

We learned that a useful educational platform needs more than an attractive interface. Reliable backend logic, accurate results, persistent data, and clear feedback are equally important.

We also learned to prioritize real functionality, test individual features, and design around students' actual preparation needs.

What's next for PersonaHire

Our next goal is to make preparation more personalized through expanded question banks, secure multi-language coding execution, enhanced AI interview feedback, and smarter recommendations.

We also plan to introduce company-specific preparation paths that align practice questions, coding challenges, and mock interviews with a student's target company and role. Readiness insights will use completed assessments and practice history to help students understand where to improve.

Our vision is simple: help every student prepare with confidence, practice with purpose, and turn learning into career-ready skills.
