Inspiration

In today's world, individuals and corporations are overwhelmed with information, making it challenging to focus on what truly matters. The inspiration for Persona Focus came from the need to simplify news consumption by merging high-speed AI capabilities with deep personalization to deliver content that is not only relevant but contextually insightful.

What it does

Persona Focus enables users to create multiple personas based on their interests or industry needs. Each persona is associated with curated Focus Briefs—short, relevant news summaries enhanced with contextual analyses powered by SambaNova AI. These analyses offer comprehensive insights, making it easy for users to understand the background and implications of news stories. The platform continuously learns user behavior to refine content delivery, ensuring optimum relevance and engagement.

How we built it

We built Persona Focus utilizing SambaNova's open-source models running on their high-speed cloud infrastructure. The platform's back-end supports user management, persona customization, and content curation. We integrated SambaNova’s APIs to enhance Focus Briefs with contextual analyses in real-time. The front-end was developed for both web and mobile devices, ensuring seamless user experience and consistency across platforms.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was balancing the depth of content with brevity in the Focus Briefs to ensure they remain concise yet informative. Additionally, optimizing the AI-driven personalization to accurately reflect user preferences in real-time posed technical difficulties. Ensuring seamless integration with corporate tools for enterprise users required extensive testing and custom API development.

We are proud to have developed a platform that successfully bridges the gap between information overload and digestible content. Our use of SambaNova’s AI to enhance contextual understanding in real-time is a significant achievement. Additionally, the seamless experience across devices and the robust personalization engine are accomplishments we take great pride in.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned the importance of leveraging high-speed AI to allow for immediate adaptation and personalization in real-time settings. We also gained insights into designing intuitive user interfaces that support deep customization while maintaining ease of use, tailored for both individuals and corporate users.

What's next for Persona Focus

Looking ahead, we plan to further enhance the AI-driven personalization by incorporating advanced behavioral analytics and expanding the scope of our contextual analyses. We aim to partner with more corporate clients, integrating their internal data sources for even more tailored news delivery. Lastly, exploring voice functionality and augmented reality could provide additional layers of engagement and accessibility to our users.

B. Creating Personas

  1. Access Dashboard

    • Navigate to the Dashboard.

  2. Create Persona

    • Click on "Create New Persona."
    • Set up personas for different interests (e.g., Work, Sports, Personal Development).

C. Exploring Focus Briefs

  1. Wait for Content Fetching

    • Allow between 1-5 minutes for the persona to fetch relevant content.

    • Select one of your created personas and explore the Focus Briefs feed.
    • Review the curated news summaries.

  3. Review Content

    • Assess the relevance and quality of the curated news summaries.
    • Note how well the Focus Briefs match the preferences set during onboarding and persona creation.

    • Click on any Focus Brief to view its Contextual Analysis.

E. Using AI-Powered Personalization

  1. Engage with Content

    • Interact with various news articles and analyses (e.g., saving, sharing).
