Inspiration
From internships to eboards to class projects, staring at an email that’s so irritating you have to physically stop yourself from typing “per my last email” in all caps. I wanted to capture that universal emotion: the urge to be petty, but professionally. PerMyLast was born from the need to turn corporate frustration into beautifully worded sarcasm.
What it does
PerMyLast takes any email and transforms it into the perfect passive-aggressive reply thats polite enough to keep your job/position, but honest enough to heal your soul. Users paste an email, choose their level of sass (😇 Mild, 😏 Medium, 😈 Nuclear), and watch as AI crafts the ideal roast. From subtle shade to professional annihilation, it’s workplace communication, reimagined.
How we built it
Frontend: Next.js, TailwindCSS, and Framer Motion Backend: Supabase, Lovable AI Gateway - AI reply generation (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash)
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was balancing humor with realism. I wanted the responses to sound authentically corporate, not just random sass. Fine-tuning the prompts so it stayed within “HR-safe but still petty” territory took some trial and error.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The beauty of the UI are genuinely funny responses.
