Inspiration
Homeowners drown in paperwork when applying for building permits — researching requirements, compiling documents, and tracking application status across agencies is slow, error-prone, and expensive.
What it does
Permit Pal is a background multi-agent system that shepherds homeowners through building-permit applications end-to-end. An orchestrator agent coordinates specialist sub-agents — research, document preparation, and scheduling — while human approval gates keep the homeowner in control at every critical step.
How we built it
Built with the Strands Agents SDK: an orchestrator agent delegates to research, docs, and scheduler specialist agents. Human-in-the-loop approval gates guard every consequential action.
Challenges we ran into
Keeping a multi-agent system reliable end-to-end — we built a rigorous evaluation harness around the permit workflow.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
29/29 evals passing — a fully reliable agent pipeline for a real-world, high-stakes workflow.
