We decided to create PeriodiQ because we thought it will be helpful for high school students that are in Chemistry or possibly even Physics course. Our team has taken Chemistry this past year and we acknowledge that understand the periodic table is essential for success in those courses. We built the app in code.org, using a dataset and configuring it into a quiz/study tool. Coordinating between the AppLab and dataset was a challenge but we were able to use it as motivation to use out skills and produce an app that will help students that follow our footsteps into chemistry. We were proud of being able to participate in the hackathon and having the opportunity to build something that may help other students. For the future of PeriodiQ, it is to be used as a small tool in a students studies, other features might be added in the app but we love what is already presented.
