Inspiration

When I tried downloading a periodic table to print it, most of the websites either gave incorrect information or it was not available for free. So I decided to make an app based on the periodic table.

What it does

It shows the data of all the element's information like atomic mass and much more.

How I built it

I built that using Visula Studio Code, Python(Flet library) and Android Studio.

Challenges I ran into

Because I am still 13+ years old, I had to balance learning python for 1 year (starting in march 2025) and slowly I started to understand things such as how to make GUI using tkinter, flet, PyQt5, and PyQt6. Flet is a very large library so learning it manually took me 3 months and I am still learning that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Most 13 year olds play games but I am proud of myself that i actually want to code when there is AI to do that. At first when I saw the Iron Man movie, I thought of building a Jarvis like in the movie. But it was way more difficult than I imagined. I am still working on the JARVIS app since i started learning Python like 1 year ago or so.

What we learned

I learned for the first time how to use the flet library to build an app which is not only laptop compatible but also smartphone, tablets.

What's next for Periodic Table App

Till now it is only for Windows laptop and Android phones so I am thinking of extending this to the Apple's App store.
