Inspiration

People don't like to talk about periods. Or think about them. Or think about other people having them. Shelters in New York and around the world are in desperate need of tampons as are the thousands of homeless women. So we created an app so nobody would have to talk about periods.

What it does

Connects women with shelters that have tampons/pads and connects donors with organizations in need.

How we built it

Integrated twilio and frantically tried to make something that looked ok by the deadline.

Challenges we ran into

Coming up with a name. And doing this all in two hours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Somehow we did this in two hours.

What we learned

We learned more about the homelessness crisis in New York. One of us also learned more about tampons than he wanted to.

What's next for Period Peace

Finishing our homework. Then sleep.
