Inspiration
Our motivation behind doing this project is to possibly discover a good standard/calculation of the NBA player’s performance and how the statistics reflect and highlight each player’s ranking. The debate on who is the GOAT or The Greatest Of All Time has been a circling, hot topic amidst the NBA league for a long time. GOAT could be determined by countless standards accounting various factors. As GMs for teams, they have to supply their franchise with the most valuable players under their limited budgets for player salaries. Thus making this topic immensely crucial when it comes to signing contracts with the best players in the league. By understanding our research questions, we hope to find a more holistic view of correlations behind NBA players’ performance by taking more factors and statistics into account.
