Inspiration

We were inspired to create an ear training app like no other, one that perfects a musician's ear.

What it does

The app plays a variety of pitches and chords and asks the user to identify its exact note, quality and key.

How we built it

We used Java and Android Studio to develop this app

Challenges we ran into

Understanding the concept of playing clips and sounds and Android Studio as a whole since it is an entirely new concept/app that we used for this hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the correct pitches and chords to play as well as displaying the correct activity screen for the corresponding button action.

What we learned

How to use Android Studio, file paths and clips.

What's next for Perfect Pitch

A better interface, new game modes (ex. cluster chords, intervals, etc.), having the app tell you the correct answer etc.
