Inspiration
The inspiration for the project was the Sisterhood program from WIC. We wanted to automate the process of pairing the mentee with mentor. Then based on who the mentee gets, they interview.
What it does
The users are mentees who will answer personality based questions, be given scores based on their questions answers and mentor, then be paired up with the mentor they have the highest score with. There is also a page that has all the mentors. Then there is a page that that shares information to allow users to send an email to apply to be a mentor or be more involved in the club.
How we built it
We built it using Html and CSS for the front end.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into was attempting to figure out the backend but also trying to learn front end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we got to work together and work under pressure to get a product out. It was a great learning experience to see what we do know and not know. It also helped reinforce what was shaky.
What we learned
We learned more of how to work on Html, Css and that for the next iteration of this project that the backend needs to be learned. We also learned that we need to be more precise with the UI.
What's next for Perfect Pear
Next iteration of the project is that Kim and I are planning to work on it to implement it into our club chapter. We want to make it to help out if the club does a mentorship program.
