The challenge brief and using data and what we viewed as valuable for a business' online presence

What it does

It uses information from the Google places API alongside webscraping the webpage if it exists for social media details which it uses to inform the rating. Aswell as checking whether or not the webpage is mobile compatible as we thought having a mobile user friendly webpage was important.

How we built it

Using a variety of features from the Google places api ,Google knowledgebase api and also the python requests module we gather information on the business using its name and location. We then use this to get more information from the webpage

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to use the API's and also deciding to how much to value each factor we considered.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Taking into account a variety of factors and using a variety of APIs

What we learned

How to create a simple webscraper and how to set up APIs and use them.

What's next for PepperPay MOPR

Consider more features and make the application more accessible/ easier to visualise the factors that go into making the rating
