What it does
Pepper is able to remind Grandpa about scheduled events like drinking enough water or taking his pills. The system is also able to handle dangerous situations! PepperCare’s conversational intelligence rules out the worst cases quickly, by speech & gesture diagnosing. In case of a major problem, PepperCare can call family, neighbors, or an ambulance.
How we built it
(1) We built an IoT simulation prototype with Azure IoT Dev Kit and sync the data via Azure Cloud and Firebase (2) A mobile application visualizing the processes inside the Pepper robot aggregates and displays the IoT data (3) The Pepper robot supports the elderly person in it's daily life and communicates with the data provided by the Azure IoT Dev Kit
