Inspiration

Volunteers are often under-appreciated and not paid. This results in low motivation because a better reward is needed. Non profits on the other hand have tight budgets and are often understaffed. In 2016, 24% of volunteers received an award and those volunteers had a lower turnover rate(6%) compared to volunteers who did not receive an award(15%).

What it does

This platform helps improve volunteer retention and drive more community volunteering through education about NFTs and blockchain.

Volunteers setup an account on PeopleNFT. The non-profit verifies the information and awards them with a custom NFT badge issued by the non-profit for volunteering work completed.

Volunteers can trade and gift their NFTs on OpenSea

Website design - we discussed how colorful palettes within our website will bring a sense of joy and action.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built an education center where an informational video is shown. Created wireframe and a functional website . Solving a real world problem.

What we learned

Educating others about NFTs and blockchain can lead to impactful, long term, and powerful solutions in solving real world problems. Teamwork - Debating collaboratively on ideas is key to ultimately finding the best solution.
